Wednesday, July 16, 2003 Obasanjo appoints Soyinka's daughter as special assistant

THE President has approved the appointment of Professor Wole Soyinka daughter, Mrs. Moremi Soyinka-Onijala, as his Special Assitant on Legal Matters. She is the third presidential aide on Legal Matters.

Earlier, former Transport Minister Chief Ojo Maduekwe was appointed Special Adviser on Legal and Constitutional Matters.

Last week, another Presidential aide on Legal Matters was appointed. Alhaji Kabir Abdul Fatah Mohammed was designated State House Counsel.

Also, Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode, son of a First Republic political figure, the late Fani-Kayode, has been appointed Special Assistant (Public Affairs). Femi, a lawyer, is the third presidential aide in that realm.

Though Mrs. Oluremi Oyo is the Chief Spokesperson of the President, Dr. Stanley Macebuh, is the Senior Special Assistant (Public Communication).

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation signed the appointment letters of the two new appointees early in the week.
