Nigeria seeks Japan’s aid on space technology
Minister of Science and Technology, Mr. Turner Isoun, has expressed Nigeria’s willingness to collaborate with Japan in space technology.
Isoun said this while receiving a delegation from the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan on Wednesday in Abuja. He said that government had confidence in the ability of space technology to accelerate national development.
He said that the poverty alleviation, food security programme and other government initiatives were areas that space technology could assist government to achieve better results.
Isoun, who reiterated government’s determination to be a front runner in space technology, said that government was not prepared to be a ‘passenger’ but a partner in the on-going efforts to develop space technology.
