Minor shake-up in the army Chris Agbambu, Abuja Monday, February 4, 2008 THE Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Luka Yusuf, has carried out a minor shake up in the Army. The shakeup was seen as a strategy to reposition the Nigerian Army for the challenges ahead. advertisement Among those affected are the Chief of Operations Nigerian Army, Major General Sunday Chikwe who becomes the new GOC 81 division Lagos , while the outgoing GOC, Major General Ihejirika, moves to the Defence Headquarters, Abuja. Other posting are Major General Sanni Saleh, former Chief of Research, Defence Headquarters, who moves over to the Army Headquarters as the new Chief of Operations.
