NFF redeploys Amodu to lead the home based Eagles he looked down upon

Shaibu Amodu has been removed from his position as the coach of the Super Eagles and redeployed to lead the home based Eagles. The decision was arrived at a meeting of the Executive Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation at its secretariat in Abuja on Friday.
In the communiqué issued at the end of the meeting, the NFF applauded the decision of the Federal Government to fund the hiring of a new coach for the Super Eagles through the Presidential Task Force and the Nigeria Sports Commission.
The new coach to be appointed soon will lead the Eagles to the World Cup in South Africa. The committee also directed that the Technical Committee commence the screening of the shortlisted coaches, while the successful candidate will be unveiled at the end of February. The candidates are Bruno Metsu, Guus Hiddink, Ratomir Dujkovic, Louis van Gaal and Peter Taylor.
