Obuah, Jonathan’s ex-CSO died in A&E Dept, says National Hospital

The management of National Hospital have confirmed the death of Gordon Obuah, formerChief Security Officerto ex-President Goodluck Jonathan.
The spokesperson for NH, Dr. Tayo Haastrup, told our correspondentthat the body of Obuah who died in the Accident and Emergency Department of the Hospital, has been deposited in the morgue.
“I can confirm the you that the man died yesterday (Thursday); his corpse is in the morgue. He was brought to National Hospital but died about 4:00 pm. He died in the Accident and Emergency Department because he couldn’t survive the attack. In essence, he died the same day he was brought to the Hospital,” Haastrup said.
Our correspondent reported that Obuah was arrested and detained bythe Department of State Services, two months after Jonathan had left office in May 2015.
Although, he embarked on a hunger strike, toprotest against his detention, the DSSlater released him after his lawyer raised the alarm over his health condition.
He later fell ill.
Obuah was accused of benefiting from an oil deal, an allegation he denied but the panel which investigated him was dissatisfied with his explanation and recommended his dismissal from the DSS.
